I love it when I am already in a good mood and someone comes along to put me in an even better mood! Case in point: why that moose-hunting, gun toting, never met a lie she didn’t love telling, Wacko from Wasilla—Sarah Palin, of course!
Now what was she saying about Obama reading from a teleprompter?
It is not that easy being president … so goes the story. In his State Of The Union Address, there was the good …
There was the bad …
And then there was the ugly …
I myself was looking for very specific things. Depending on those devilish details, I may have read [I seldom listen to speeches] some of what I was looking for, but all in all, this speech Read the rest of this entry »
In my opinion, it was a good speech. And different. Laying the gauntlet down to the GOP to come up with better ideas; taking on the Supreme Court AND the media; the need to return to politics of common sense; and the threats—ooooo I love threats!
Anyway, that’s my take—well, there’s more, but I’ll wait.
With the loss of Teddy’s seat in Massachusetts, The Big O and Democrats have all but abandoned there surge for Health Care Deformity and their attack on the insurance industry, non-government Public Enemy #1. Our newly minted Liberal government wasted their first year demonizing Read the rest of this entry »
I guess Massachusetts was a little more than competitive.
Another politician unknowingly wades into The People's pool. No mercy!
Those of you from the old Political machine will recall during the 2008 presidential campaign, I posted a regular theme: It doesn’t matter who wins or loses this election; anything that will or won’t Read the rest of this entry »
We see it in all facets of life—the stinking rot of death brings out the scavengers of all sorts. Scavengers have their place: they clean-up waste. But, scavengers are often shunned by others, due to, in part, their ‘opportunistic’ appearance. And the following two ’scavengers’—are NO exception. Read the rest of this entry »
I always find it so fascinating, and a little sad, that a disaster of epic proportions, as the earthquake in Haiti clearly is—manages to bring out the humanity in us all. It doesn’t matter if we are Americans, Chinese, French, Italians, British, Mexican, Australian or Japanese—we are all ‘humans’ first. Race doesn’t matter when one sees human suffering on such a grand scale—the only race that matters is the one to save our fellow members of the ‘human’ race.
The race for Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat is beginning to look as interesting as the New York 23rd District House race did a couple months ago. There is one exception, though. This time there isn’t a party vote split between two candidates on the ‘right’. Just one on the left, Martha Coakley, and one on the right, Scott Brown.
No middle ground in this election.
Recently, Scott Brown has made a surge in some polls [while others show Coakley with a sizable lead]. Add this ‘concern’ to Coakley’s blowing the one and only debate and Democrats appear to see the need to pull out the big guns.
Suffice to say, I am as disgusted with our government as the next person. I am seeing my tax dollars, both as an individual and a business owner, being wasted for things like a war based on lies, another war that the previous administration screwed-up by starting the stated war based on lies, banks that don’t know how to read a balance sheet let alone make one, an immigration situation that is out of control, an education system that isn’t getting the results we need, and lazy Americans who have decided to make unemployment benefits their only means of income/career—and that was before the economy tanked!
